Group Counseling & Workshops

What is Group Counseling?

Group counseling provides a safe and supportive space where individuals can connect with others who share similar experiences. Led by a therapist, group counseling offers professional counseling while fostering a sense of community and shared healing.

In each session, participants are encouraged to share their thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences in a confidential environment. This process helps individuals gain new perspectives, build coping skills, and find comfort in knowing they are not alone.

One of the key benefits of group counseling is the power of peer support. Listening to others’ stories and offering encouragement can be incredibly healing, reducing feelings of isolation and promoting personal growth.

The therapist ensures that discussions remain respectful, focused, and productive, creating a structured atmosphere where every member feels heard and valued.

At Grace Counseling, we believe in the power of connection and shared healing. Whether you’re facing grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, or other life struggles, our group counseling sessions provide a space to heal and grow together.

You’re Not Alone: First-Time Moms Virtual Group Counseling

Becoming a mom changes everything — your schedule, your relationships, and even your sense of self. This 6-week counseling group is designed to support first-time moms as they navigate the emotional, relational, and identity shifts of early motherhood.

In a warm, supportive setting, we’ll explore topics like anxiety and overwhelm, mom guilt and comparison, changes in partnership, boundaries with family, and building confidence in your new role. Each week we will meet virtually and go through guided discussion, practical coping tools, and space to connect with other women who understand this season.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. Join us as we build resilience, self-compassion, and confidence together.

Lead by Grace Counseling licensed therapists, Julie Hotalen and Rebecca Berndt.
